T H E . F O R M

Before we hit the epic TLDR portion of the permissions post, I'll sneak in a permissions form for you guys to fill out if you feel this post in any way applies to you. There's a sample entry below to make life easier.

A B I L I T I E S.

As of November 2013, Kenzi was granted the abilities of a Kitsune Fae in Teleios. It should be noted that because this is a new form, she gains all abilities associated with a Kitsune. It should also be noted that despite suddenly having all these abilities, Kenzi doesn't know anything about what it means to be Kitsune and as such, will use many of these accidentally. Some of them she won't even know she can do until they manifest.

Dream Walking User can enter and manipulate the dreams of oneself and others, including modifying, suppressing, fabricating, influencing, manifesting, sensing, and observing dreams as well as nightmares, daydreams Dream Manipulation on Power Listing Wikia.

In other words, whether intentionally or otherwise, Kenzi has the ability to wander into people's dreams not only as a witness, but if she wishes (can control it) an active and willing participant of the dream.

Glamour

Rather than physically shift into human form, Kenzi has the ability to use glamour magic to alter her appearance. This can be something simple, like changing her hair or eye color but can also be used to take on the appearance of another person.

- To create a complete human glamour, she needs to have had recent physical contact with the subject (within the last 12 hours).
- Holding the glamour of another human form would use up a large amount of her power resources.
- Kenzi will always retain some part of herself when using a full glamor; Such as the color of her eyes, shape of her nose, some characteristic that may give her away.
- Carelessness and/or drunkenness may reveal true form.

Illusions Similar to Glamour, Kitsune's have the ability to create illusions so elaborate as to be almost indistinguishable from reality. For more information, read about Illusion Manipulation here

- Illusions require an extremely large amount of power for her to make them appear realistic and for any length of time.
- The larger the illusion, the more power needed.

Shapeshifting Similar to that of a Wolf Shifter, a Kitsune has the ability to take the form of a Fox. When in Fox form, the are immune to the gifts of certain Fae such as Mesmers or Sirens.

Kenzi in Fox Form

- When in Fox form, A Kitsune tail moves in an arc that gives it the illusion of having nine tails. These 'tails' looks as if they have flames dancing from the the ends.
- Kenzi's eyes retain their ethereal, bluish purple color when in Fox Form.
- As a Fox, she is approximately the same size as a small dog, weighing only 15 pounds and her head would come below the knee of an average human.

- Shifting to Fox form takes a medium amount of power reserves and cannot be maintained for a long period of time unless she has been feeding.

Feeding Kitsune have characteristics reminiscent of vampires or succubi and feed on the life or spirit of human beings, generally through sexual contact. They regain health and vitality while the victim declines in their vigor from feeding in this way. Within Lost Girl, it is suggested that some Kitsune (See: Inari) no longer feed on human food and live completely off the life force of others.

- Unlike Bo's abilities, Kenzi cannot give life force back to a person, only take from.
- She cannot make people let her feed from them. They have to willingly engage in physical contact, her touch will not make them want her.
- If Kenzi actively takes too much life force, the person can weaken and potentially die.
- Without feeding, Kenzi's supernatural abilities will be weakened, even becoming dorment.
- Without feeding she will be left with near constant hunger that may cause her to act in ways that would otherwise be out of character for her.
- Alcohol can stave off the hunger pangs but will also lessen her capacity to use her abilities..

Canine Physiology Most of these traits are common to any animalistic Fae. Effectively this means that Kenzi has the following;

Enhanced Bite: Though her teeth appear normal most of the time, Kenzi can take on the aspect of the Fox and show two rows of sharp, razor like teeth. Kenzi as Kitsune.
Enhanced Durability: The power to sustain numerous blows of internal or external assaults.
Enhanced Endurance: The ability to survive without supplies, resources, energy, or other items for an extended amount of time.
Enhanced Senses: The power to posses extremely accurate senses.
- Enhanced Hearing: Users have ears enhanced to hear with amazing clarity, distance, and even frequencies outside normal range.
- Enhanced Smell: Users can detect specific persons, objects, substances or even places, locate their origin and track with nothing but their nose.
- Night Vision: User can see in a dark or dim environments as though it were well-lit.
Enhanced Speed: User can move faster than the average human. Enhanced speed but notably not incredible speeds.
Enhanced Stamina: The power to function for long periods of time without tiring or straining oneself.
Enhanced Strength: Users have ability to defy weight limitations of a human of similar height and weight, but not completely break them
Predator Instinct: The user possesses predatory instincts, allowing them to become masters of hunting and tracking. One with this ability can discern numerous factors of a situation that make him a master of pursuit and capture.
Temperature Regulation: The user can maintain different levels of their own body temperature for extended periods of time, if not indefinitely.
Decelerated Aging: The power to age at a slower-than-normal rate.
Claw Retraction: The user can project and retract razor-sharp claws from their fingertips for offensive purposes.

Weaknesses

Religion: Those of certain faiths who actually possess faith (read: Clerics, Priests, Monks, Healers) do not see Kitsune illusion.

- If they touch an illusion made by a Kitsune (Accidentally or otherwise), the illusion will dissolve.
- If they touch somebody who is seeing an illusion, that person will see things as they should be again.
- If they touch a Kitsune while in the form of another, the glamour will disappear and they will reveal themselves.

Ohh Shiny: Fun fact. Kitsune's are attracted to shiny objects. It should be noted that Kenzi is attracted to Shiny Objects anyway so that might not be a big deal.

Twig of Zamora The Twig of Zamora is a magical artifact of Clan Zamora that protects the holder.

"To Clan Zamora, a gift bestowed. Immune to evil deed, to blow. For he who carriers sacred twig, immortality shall cling."

Kenzi was given the Twig by Hale and it came with her to Teleios.

N.B. Even if it's not listed here, I am perfectly fine with your character doing anything that comes with their powers or skills. You never need my permission for your character to act ICly! Whether they want to deduce (Sherlock), profile (Criminal Minds) or smell that she is different (True Blood/Southern Vampire Mysteries, Teen Wolf etc).

Hug/Kiss/Badtouch/Punch/General Fisticuffs and Shenanigans?: Go for it.

Fighting: Feel free to do as you wish in this realm, I only ask that you don't try and over-run me - give me a chance to respond don't just decide you hit my character over the head and she passes out. Chances are - you hit her hard enough, I'll have her pass out myself. You want to go for a bit of non-lethal stabbing, heck I'm ok with that.

Maiming: There will be no removal of body parts or internal organs without discussing with me first (unless its a kidney - you may take ONE kidney and no more).

Murder: This usually depends on the game for me but in Teleios? That'll be a big no due to perma-death.

Mind-reading?: Sure why not - ya know provided that's something your character can do. Mind-reading in the sense that you're using my characters thoughts to alter the way you respond and I might get a tad Grr Argh.

Rape: Not something I am all giddy to explore however, if it suits the story-line and preferably if its an attempt and not an actual rape... you'd need to discuss with me and no guarantee's I'll roll with it.

Threadhopping/Threadjacking: Go for it! More realistic that way anyway. That said - if I don't want it to happen my post will have [Closed] in the title.

Canonpuncture: (Spoilers from beyond her Canon Point). To a degree yes, she doesn't need to know a gazillion spoilers but this is something we can discuss.

Fourthwalling: Well you can try. Kenzi will presume you are smoking crack.

S E X Y . T I M E S

I'm fine with most things but even I have my limits. Incest or anything that belongs in a toilet really doesn't interest me.

That being said it's pretty hard to ever offend me. I'm fine with any sort of language you want to use, but I will tread carefully so as not to cross any of your lines. When in doubt, feel free to shoot me a PM about it if you feel more comfortable.

This character also happens to be straight so the chances of her getting seriously involved with another female are highly, highly unlikely. Sorry, I just don't think it would be very in her character to swing both ways.

Is fade to black OK?: I'm cool with hand-waving if you'd be more comfortable with that. I do prefer not to ONLY because I like to know how my character thought/felt in intimate situations but that's far from a deal-breaker. I'm also fine if you would prefer to RP it off comm. so the whole world doesn't have to read what happens.

This kitsune was posing as a human priestess and Ammy was completely unable to detect her until she had a special magical item that amplified her powers. So, I would say maybe same rules - wherein the more power put into the illusion/glamour, the greater the likelihood Ammy will detect it - apply?
